Course Overview
If you are driven to providing help to those in the community that are most in need, enrolling in a Certificate III in Individual Support is one way you can use your passion for the benefit of others. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide individualised support and person-centred care (PCC) to those who require support through either ageing, disabilities or other hindering factors. Providing support to others is one of the most rewarding careers there is and to begin this journey a Certificate III in Individual Support is a perfect start.

Duration Study Load
Six months, part-time. Students can choose between joining the following classes:
- Day classes Monday and Tuesday 9.30 am – 3.30 pm OR Thursday and Friday 9.30 am – 3.30 pm
Delivery
- 3x weekly workshops
- Workshop based assessments
- Monthly group support lessons for those wanting that little bit of extra support
- Workplace-based learning with 160 hours of required work placement, along with workplace observation and assessment
- Practical assessments along with direct observation
Work Placement
- This Certificate III requires a minimum of 160 Hours of suitable workplacement
- Training Unlimited assists all students with securing work placement with our strong network of host employers. We also encourage our students to actively pursue finding their own work placement opportunities which provides additional experience when it comes to job searching later in their careers
Materials
Resources and materials, you will need to provide:
- Pen + note-taking paper
- Any other stationery you like to use when undertaking study. I.e. highlighters, post-it notes etc
- Access to the internet, minimum system requirements is an up to date browser (Recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)

- Textbook/s
- Student/Learner Guide; available online through Cloud Assess system
- Assessments; available online through Cloud Assess system
- Additional training resources
- Work Placement Logbooks; available online through Cloud Assess system
- Online login details for the Online Learning Modules you will be required to access and complete
