Mentor Education’s Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (FNS40215) will allow you to enter the bookkeeping industry with confidence, as you’ll learn everything that’s required to become a bookkeeper. You’ll also be recognised by the Tax Practitioners Board as holding the qualifications to become a registered BAS Agent. The course can be completed online or in-person via classroom learning. Start anytime and study at your own pace online or in an instructor-led classroom learning environment. The course includes practical training and exercises in MYOB, the most commonly-used accounting program in Australia. Included in the course are instructions on how to download a free student version of MYOB and get it fully set-up on your computer.
Unlike some other providers, our nationally-recognised bookkeeping qualification includes units of competency pertaining to maintaining inventory records, preparing financial statements for non-reporting entities, cash/accrual systems and OH&S. Graduates of our Certificate IV in Bookkeeping tell us they love being a bookkeeper because it’s a stable industry, they often have the flexibility of setting their own hours and that it’s enjoyable to be the ‘wizard’ in their respective employers’ businesses – developing familiarity with and seeing all of the facts and figures and being able to see, track and monitor the business’ progress day-in-day out.
As the saying goes ‘If you want to know how a business is really going, go and speak to the bookkeeper!’
