The Certificate IV in Hairdressing is ideal for students who have completed Certificate III in Hairdressing and who wish to enhance & extend their training and career options. The Program reflects the role of skilled senior hairdressers who use a range of highly developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients.
This senior hairdressers Program provides specialist services in one or more areas including haircutting, design, colouring and complex colour correction, trichology and chemical reformation. They work independently and many hairdressers at this level provide technical leadership, training and support to team members.

TMG College Australia can deliver training and undertake assessments using facilities at a workplace where the student undertakes their work experience, or in a Mobile Manner (e.g. delivery at a regional/remote location for a specific period or for a specific training course).
Mixed Mode Training
A combination of various delivery modes. Also known as “Mixed Delivery” or “Blended Learning”. This includes Online, Face to Face and Workplace Based.
Entry to this Program is open to individuals who have:
- achieved a Certificate III in Hairdressing (or equivalent); and
- at least one-year post-qualification full-time employment experience as a hairdresser in a salon environment where they have applied the skills and knowledge covered in the above (or equivalent) qualification.
Students are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review and a Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital Literacy Assessment.
These will assist with determining suitability and relevance into course entry and identification of any support needs.
Recognition Of Prior Learning
We provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where student work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL result is subject to the quality and amount of the evidence submitted by the Student to TMG.

- Workplace Practical Demonstration
