Course Overview
The CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services enables you to work in diverse areas such as community health, employment services and disability services to make a significant difference in client’s lives. The case management specialisation gives you skills to manage, coordinate and deliver services to the clients with diverse need. This will also give you first-hand experience in assessing and reviewing information and improving service practices.

Duration Study Load
Adelaide
- Delivered over 104 weeks (including 24 weeks of holidays)
- Classes are rostered for 3 days per week plus a self-study component
- Includes Work-Based Training of 20 weeks at 20 hours per week (total of 400 hours)
Perth
- Delivered over 52 weeks (intensive course – including 4 weeks of holidays)
- Classes are rostered for 3 days per week plus a self-study component
- Course includes Work-Based Training of 4 weeks at 38 hours per week (total of 152 hours)
Note: Full-time studies requires students to attend a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours per week.
Entry Requirements
Academic
Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
English Proficiency
Upper-intermediate Level of English OR IELTS Test Score of 5.5 OR other recognised English Language tests such as:
- TOEFL iBT Test Score of 65
- PTE Academic Test Score of 42
- Cambridge English: FCE
- OET D Grade
- TOEFL PBT Test Score of 513
- TOEIC 605
Work Placement
During Work-Based Training, you will be able to practice your skills and knowledge in real workplace settings. This will assist you to be job-ready at graduation. Stanley College has entered into Work-Based Training agreements with a number of employers.
All Work-Based Training is organised by Stanley College’s Employment Liaison Team in consultation with students.
Before commencement of Work-Based Training, students are also required to provide:
- National Police Certificate (WA)
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) screening certificate
- Medical Clearance may also be required
- Evidence of Flu Vaccination
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination*
*Fully Vaccinated = You have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 Vaccination AND a mandatory third dose when it is due (currently 3 months after 2nd dose).
Recognition Of Prior Learning
Recognition is available (on application) to students with prior skills, experience, knowledge or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training, in a related area. Recognition may reduce the duration of your studies.
