Often practicing preventive medicine measures such as preventative dental care to protect against oral diseases amongst the elderly and disabled populations, these positions can be quite emotionally, physically and mentally demanding. However, they can also be extremely rewarding for the right person. Generally, women are more likely to do this job, with 77% of aged and disabled carers being female, however there are no gender requirements for this job, just a desire to assist those in need.
