There are a number of TAFE institutes in Queensland which offer nationally recognised courses (certificate and diploma programs) across the QLD region. Queensland is not a small territory, so it’s understandable that ensuring that all the residents have equal access to learning opportunities is a bit of a challenge. The number of Queensland TAFE institutes available help the government meet this challenge. For example, TAFE in Brisbane is provided by Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, Tropical North Queensland TAFE takes care of the northern area of QLD, and Mount Isa Institute covers 30% of the massive area in the north west of the territory.
Central Queensland Institute of TAFE covers the interior with several campuses offering TAFE in Queensland, including campuses at Rockhampton, Blackwater, Gladstone, and Claremont. On-campus Queensland TAFE courses are available, and students can also choose from a variety of TAFE online courses. All of this means that you don’t have to be in Brisbane for TAFE courses. You can complete TAFE courses in QLD no matter where you are in the territory.
